The Warriors got four runs in the third inning, two in the fourth, and four in the fifth. The Thunderbirds got as close as 10-4 with three runs in the bottom of the sixth, chasing starter Nick Masters. The runs came on three consecutive RBI doubles by LF Craig Leebosh, SS Sammie Starr, and and C Ben Torrie. The Birds threatened to get back in the game in the seventh, but left the bases loaded. They left 12 on base for the game, and they managed only one hit off the last two Warrior relievers, Blaine Hardy and Justin Mace.
DH Dave Dick, a senior playing his last regular season home game, was 2-2. Leebosh was 2-4. CF Paul Martin was 3-5 for the Warriors. Masters got the win, and starter Josh Brink got the loss. Geoff Burke pitched a perfect seventh inning for the Birds, and Sean Carrick pitched a scoreless ninth.
