First game: Mark Hardy pitched his third complete-game shutout, held the Coyotes to three hits. He struck out four, and hit a batter.
The Thunderbirds got all the runs they needed in the fourth inning, when RF Mike Styrna and DH Scott Webster hit back-to-back doubles, with Styrna batted in by Webster. Styrna was 2-3, and Webster was 2-2 with a sacrifice bunt. LF Matt Chester hit a home run over the right field fence in the fifth inning.
Pat Lyon went the distance for the Coyotes, got the loss.

Second game: The game was tied at 5 after seven innings. The Coyotes got three runs in the top of the eleventh when Andrew LaFleur hit a batter with the bases loaded, and SS Alex O'Brien hit a two-RBI single. The Thunderbirds got one back when DH Fletcher Vynne scored on a fielder's choice by RF Mike Styrna. The Thunderbirds had the winning run at the plate, but Jason Barry of Castlegar struck out C Ben Torrie and got 3B Bob Foerster to ground out to get the win. LaFleur got the loss.
CF Jon Syrnyk, 2B Alex White, and Styrna were all 2-4. Josh Brink started, went five innings, walked five batters. Both Kurtis Schumacher and Ashton Florko put in good relief performances; Florko pitched a hitless eighth inning, and Schumacher allowed one hit in two innings. Unfortunately, Schumacher gave up the fifth Coyote run.
