The Warriors got an early 8-0 lead at the expense of Kurtis Schumacher. The Thunderbirds got as close as 8-4 with four runs in the fifth inning on an two-RBI RBI double by 1B Ryan Pilgrim, an RBI single by PH Matt Chester, and Pilgrim coming in on an error. However, the Warriors pulled away with a run off Greg Chong in the sixth, two runs off Ashton Florko in the seventh, and two runs off Jeff Hall in the eighth.

CF Jon Syrnyk went 3-4 with a double for the Birds. Andrew LaFleur pitched 2 1/3 hitless innings. Nick Masters got the win for the Warriors, and 3B Ikaika Lester got a double, a home run and four RBI in the early going.
