The Thunderbirds tied it 2-2 in the top of the fifth, and it was all Warriors after that. Matt Fitts got the win, Thunderbird starter Josh Brink got the loss. The Warriors out-hit the Birds by only 10-9, but Brink threw five wild pitches, and hit five batters. The Thunderbird infield, which has been excellent so far this season, added two errors.
C Ryan Pilgrim was 3-4 for the Thunderbirds. Jeff Hall and Geoff Burke made relief appearances. CF Paul Martin was 2-2 for the Warriors, and reached base three more times by being hit by pitches.
