First game: Mark Hardy got a complete-game (7 inning) shutout, struck out nine. Ryan Pilgrim hit a two-run home run in the first inning. He finished 2-3 with three RBI. Scott Webster hit his third home run of the season.

Jordan Emery went the distance for the Warriors, held the Thunderbirds to five hits, struck out 10.

Box score and play-by-play

Second game: Ryan Pilgrim batted in the winning run in the first inning, Sammie Starr and Nic Lendvoy hit home runs. Lendvoy was 2-4. Josh Brink got the win, scattered five hits over seven innings, and the only run the Warriors scored was unearned.

Kurtis Schumacher pitched the last two innings, struck out three. Jason Braun got the loss.
