Jon hit .290 with four home runs in 2007. He hit for the cycle against Albertson on March 31, and tied an NAIA record by hitting three triples against Corban on April 14. He set a school record with seven triples on the season. He lead the team with 28 RBI.
In 2006, he hit .251 with a home run and 11 RBI in 51 at-bats. |

 Photo by Dan Ashman LHP Andrew "Guy" LaFleur, a senior, is from Ancaster, ON. He has been a reliever in 2008, and his record as of April 23 is 1-2, 5.49 ERA.
Andrew was in the starting rotation in 2007. His record was 5-4, 4.22 ERA. He led the team with 38 strikeouts.
His numbers were 0-2, 5.19 ERA and six strikeouts in 8 1/3 innings pitched in 2005. He had 22 appearances (one start) in 2006, and had the team's best ERA, 1.45. His record was 6-0, and he had 35 strikeouts in 43 1/3 innings pitched. |

A sophomore LHP from Campbell River, Mark is expected to play a key role on the Thunderbird pitching staff this season. His numbers for 2007 were 0-2, 5.61 ERA in six starts in 33 2/3 innings pitched. What turned some heads, however, is that two of the starts became wins against Lewis-Clark State, but he wasn't the pitcher of record for them.
During the summer, he played for the Nanaimo Coal Miners team that won the Western Canada championship. |

 Photo by Bob Broughton Senior infielder Fletcher Vynne is from Friday Harbor, WA, and he was the first player from the US to be on the Thunderbird roster. In 2007, he had a .327 batting average, second-best on the team. He had 10 doubles and 24 RBI. At first base, he had a respectable .978 fielding average, but he was used mostly as a designated hitter over the second half of the season. He has also had some bad luck with injuries.
His numbers for 2006 were one hit and two RBI in ten at-bats. He hit .267 in 2005. |

A sophomore outfielder from Langley. Nic is hitting .253 with a home run and 10 RBI as of April 23.
He led the team in hitting in 2007, with an average of .340. He had 14 doubles (also best on the team), two home runs, and 22 RBI. |

A senior LHP, Kurtis was used mostly in relief in 2007, but should be in the starting rotation in 2008. His numbers for 2007 were 1-0, 6.14 ERA, 21 strikeouts and 10 walks in 29 1/3 innings pitched.
Kurtis is from Maple Ridge, and came to UBC as a transfer from Midland College in Texas. He played for the Coquitlam Angels during the summer. |

An RHP from Nanaimo, Taylor came to UBC from Pierce College in the Los Angeles area. His college career started at Cal State-Northridge, but he ran into arm trouble followed by surgery. He had two starts in the series against the French Senior National Team, and pitched six scoreless innings in the first one.
His 2008 season ended, after only two starts, with an injury. His numbers were 1-1, 5.25 ERA.
During the summer, he played for the BC Ballers of the Pacific International League. |

Bob "Bigroom" Foerster is a transfer from Kwantlen College, and plays third base. He is also an alumnus of the Langley Blaze. As of April 26, he is hitting .182, with 2 home runs, 9 RBI.

Mike is a senior, and is moving from third base (where he hasn't gotten much playing time) to the outfield. He had 47 at-bats last year, averaged .191, but hit two home runs. He got one hit in four at-bats in 2006. He transferred to UBC from Cerritos Junior College. |
