First game: Jon Syrnyk hit three triples, and Doug Grant, Scott Webster, and Kurtis Schumacher combined for a two-hit shutout.
All three of Syrnyk's triples were hit deep in center-right field. His performance ties an NAIA record, held by eight other players.
The Thunderbirds scored in every inning except the sixth. They did the most damage in the third; Syrnyk scored on a wild pitch, Fletcher Vynne batted in a run, then scored when he was walked in.
Jason Braun took the loss for the Warriors, who have been shut out in three straight Region I games.

Second game: This one would have been a lot closer had it not been for several excellent defensive plays by the Thunderbirds. In the first inning, Nic Lendvoy made a good catch of a foul ball in left field. In the fourth inning, Matt Chester, playing first base, made a great diving catch of a foul ball hit by Doug Gausepohl near the wall on the first base side. Then, Lendvoy made a good throw to catch a runner at the plate. In the seventh, Jeremy Frantz was thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double. The Thunderbirds had double plays in the third and sixth innings. In the eighth, a double play was bungled when a toss by Sammie Starr at second base went astray. However, Ted Wilkie, Starr, and Chester completed a double play on the next batter.
The big inning this time was a five-run second. The first run was walked in when Lendvoy was hit by a pitch. The second one came in when Brett Murray reached on an error. Then, Fletcher Vynne cleared the bases with a double.
Brendan Rolfe got the start, went five innings, and gave up the only Warrior run. Mark Hardy pitched the sixth through eighth innings, and Kurtis Schumacher pitched the ninth. Hardy allowed only two hits. Scott Fitchett pitched a complete game in a losing cause.

Joey Zubizaretta got the win for the Coyotes. Brett Murray, who came on in the eighth, got the loss.

First game: This wasn't an artistic masterpiece for either team; four errors for Oregon Tech, three for UBC. However, the Thunderbirds got an excellent performance from Andrew LaFleur; no earned runs in six innings, and seven strikeouts.
Brett Murray hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning, and came in to pitch for the seventh inning, and got yet another save.
The game was close all the way. The Thunderbirds went out in front in the fourth, when Matt Chester got his first hit of the season, then scored when Tyler Willson reached on an error. Murray's home run game the thunderbirds a 3-0 lead, but the Hustlin' Owls got a couple back, making it a one-run game, in the top of the sixth on a throwing error by Murray.
Kyle Koontz took the loss for the Hustlin' Owls.

Second game: This game was decided by a five-run fourth inning for the Thunderbirds. Mike Styrna, Tyler Willson, and Sammie Starr hit RBI singles, and Sean Everest hit a two-RBI double.
Brendan Rolfe pitched five shutout innings, and Greg Chong pitched two more. The Hustlin' Owls scored three runs off Kurtis Schumacher in the eighth to make things interesting (RBI from Taylor Skinner, Phil Ouellette, and Dustin Kim Seu), but Brett Murray came on in the ninth to record his second save of the day.
Murray also scored the first run of the game in the third, and it was a cheap one. He walked, went to second on a wild pitch, went to third on a bad throw from the catcher, then scored on a wild pitch. The Thunderbirds left the bases loaded in the seventh. The Hustlin' Owls loaded the bases on Rolfe in the fifth inning with two hit batters and a walk, but they left the bases loaded.
Fletcher Vynne was 3-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Doug Grant got off to a shaky start, allowing two runs in the first inning. Those were the only runs the Hustlin' Owls got, and Grant ended up going eight innings, and allowed only seven hits. This was his first win of the season.
The winning run came in the fourth inning, on an RBI double by Fletcher Vynne. Vynne was 2-4 with two RBI, and Nic Lendvoy was 2-3 with an RBI. Casey Burton got the loss for the Hustlin' Owls.
